KOL HATOR Commentary
G-d’s Instructions about the Tabernacle (which is the Main Theme of the next 14 Parashiyot) is not simply another Commandment from G-d, but it is the goal of everything that has preceded it; it was the purpose of the Exodus from Egypt; it was foreseen by the Patriarchs. Indeed, we are even taught, that as a main, divine idea, the concept of the Mikdash precedes Creation. It can be said to be the very Goal of Creation.
As such, it embellishes our conclusions from our recent commentaries and from Rabbinic interpretations which hint at this concept, that it was HaShem’s Intention to dwell among His people, within human tabernacles. This can be linked with the concept of the New Covenant which HaShem will be concluding with those who are found worthy in the Final Judgmen; that they then will serve to be this Tabernacle of His indwelling Spirit (Shechinah) through which He will rule over the Nations. As such, this human Tabernacle should contain the Ark of the Covenant as the Torah “written on the table of their hearts”; and the Menorah Lamp, designed and perfected by HaShem Himself, serving to present this human tabernacle (the ’Servant’ whom HaShem has formulated), as a Light to the Nations.
