Weekly Parashah
Weekly Torah Reading Commentaries
Our commentaries search the Bible’s Messages for the Return of the Lost House of 10-Israel and their reconciliation with Judah – i.e. The Geulah or Redemption of Israel.
Parashot and Haftarot
The Annual reading Cycle of the Scriptures
Parashiyot (singular Parashah) – 52 weekly sections of the Torah (first 5 Books of the Bible) read on an annual recurring basis according to an ancient Jewish program. Each Parashah is named after the first Hebrew word of that section, e.g starting the annual program after the festival of Succot from Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning” – Bereisheet – thus named Parashat ‘Bereisheet’.
Haftarot (singular haftarah) – from the root פטר p-t-r ‘to conclude’) is the name given to certain biblical selections (from the Bible Books of Prophecies mainly) which are read after the Parashah of the day at Shabbat and festival services. It stems from an ancient set program compiled by the Jewish Sages to accompany the 52 week Cycle of Parashot. the never ending and constantly repeating Reading and Study Cycle invigorates Bible students with a special chain-like Message of Redemption – leading up to the Final Redemption, the Restoration of Israel and the establishment of the Universal Kingdom of the God of Israel, the Creator.
Amazing Prophetic fulfillment
As we have seen with 9th Av Prophecy, there has been a historic continuing fulfillment of awesome happenings right up to and in this Time that we are living and approaching the Final Redemption. Similarly, it is no less than supernatural how the Biblical Message and Guidance of the weekly Parashot Cycles are fulfilled in current weekly World News Events and the progressive advancement towards Final Redemption of the Nation and Land of Israel and its Message serving as a Light unto the Nations.
Of course, in the end, it is the individual personal involvement and spiritual development that is important to us all. While weekly Rabbinic commentaries on the Parashot are in abundance, eased by the Internet communications these days, there seems to be a neglected area of a lack of weekly commentaries on the accompanying Haftarot and their guidance for us towards Final Redemption. We shall therefore endeavour in our weekly Newsletter to seek and present such Scriptural guidance from the abundant informed Torah sources that are available to us today and correlate it to current News events where possible.

Will the Message of Corona be recognized?
Israel has been one of the foremost leading countries in fighting the Corona plague successfully. The first lockdown was released prematurely and somewhat hurriedly. Within weeks the pandemic turned around showing its scary reality and we now face far higher numbers of infections. So, the lockdown and the infection is back with a vengeance. Can it be that the eventual fall out of Corona and the financial after effects will turn so horrid that a masse universal Repentance and recognition of the Creator God of Israel will be called on for Help? The foundations of Judaism have been shaken over the last few weeks through internet onslaughts against Talmudic Judaism which went viral here in Israel.

From the distraught of 3 week’s Mourning to the Glorious Culmination of All
The 3 weeks from 17 Tammuz to 9th Av commemorate the end of the existence of Israel’s Holy Temples, and the last days before the resultant exile. It will culminate in the 9th of Av (Tisha b’Av) the day on which, centuries apart, the two Temples were destroyed in Jerusalem.
Let us though concentrate and nurture the spiritual upliftment underlying this tragic period in Israel’s history. In the process we will discover the link between this tragic period and the glorious culmination of all in the 7th month Feasts, which will see the Remarriage of HaShem with His Divorced Bride, the House of 10-Israel now returned from exile and reconciled with Judah in the re-united 12-Tribed Kingdom of the God of Israel and the establishment of His Universal Kingdom ruling from Jerusalem.

Parshat Pinchas: What Is True Leadership? (Aleph Beta)
This week’s Torah portion describes some very random stories – like another census of the nation, and the daughters of Zelophehad appealing to Moses for a portion of land. Then, suddenly, the stories culminate with God telling Moses about his pending death. Why does the Torah group all of these stories together, and does it […]

There are times you can’t be passive! (Meir Elkabas – Parshat Pinchas)
Meir Elkabas (Breslov Research Institute) discusses this week’s Torah portion, Parshat Pinchas with insights from Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, who explains that just like Pinchas acted boldly and stood up for Hashem’s honor, we too may have times in our lives where we have to stand up and risk it all for the sake of […]

Encouragement to pursue the Ultimate
Notwithstanding all this positive (often disturbing) indicators of Reality about the fast evolving formation of the required Reawakening towards the Final Redemption , we sure need encouragement in these days when the World as we know it and have experienced it, seems to be cracking up all around us – like an earthquake, reshaping a continent.
We find such encouragement in a Scripture from this week’s Parashat Balaq:
“He (HaShem) does not look at evil in Jacob, and sees no perversity in Israel: G d, their G d, is with them.” (Num. 23:21)
Wow! Can thus be true?

Parshat Balak: What Is Israel’s Purpose In The World? (alephbeta)
This week, we ask an incredibly broad question: What is the purpose of the nation of Israel in this world? To answer this, Rabbi Fohrman points out a fascinating connection between the three blessings Balaam (accidentally) gives the nation of Israel and the three blessings God gives to Abraham in Genesis. These links, Rabbi Fohrman […]

Standing at the Gates of the Promised Land in the Second Exodus at the culmination of the Ages
This Blog is compiled from Parashat and Haftorat Balak:
Parahah from TORAH: NUMBERS 22:2-25
Haftorah from PROPHETS: MICAH 5:6-6:8
In Jewish synagogue services the Torah is read in 52 weekly Parashot sections consecutively every year. The insight of the Jewish Sages in having paired up each Parashah with a section from the Prophetic books of the Tanach is astounding. This becomes evident from the fact that this pairing up does not change annually and it is eerie how these readings are ever so often echoed by leading international news events of that same week to confirm the accuracy of Bible prophecy. In general, These Haftorahs encapsulate and expound on the theme of the Parshah for the week.
Unfortunately, while commentaries on the Parashot abound weekly (on Internet these days), reviews of the Haftorot do not receive the same prominence generally. Haftorat Balak this week (from the book of the Prophet Micah), has a specially important concluding Message for the Time that we are living in.

The Awakening is taking place!
We have observed many signs this week that the Restoration of Israel End Time Process is taking shape. Normally, such signs are not always obvious. In fact, clear signs of success are mostly dangerous, for the many negative side effects it carries. Reminds us of the Rabbi who said: “I get very worried when my entire congregation agrees with me and there is no fierce rejection of my view points!”
At the risk of seeming self priding, we will share some of these observations this week rather than a blog and Parashat commentary. We will share video and other snippets of such inspiring signs that came our way, unasked for. To us, this showed a monumental move forward in our endeavours to get Judah to recognize and accept the reality of a “reawakening Ephraim” out there.

Turning Stumbling Stones into Stepping Stones
We are now at the Redemptive stage of the 2nd Exodus, having left the exile in spiritual Egypt, and now being “in the Wilderness Trek” towards the Promised Land where HaShem will raise and perfect His Tabernacle (Temple) in which He will dwell amongst His People to rule over His Universal Kingdom through “His Servant” whom He is preparing.
Resistance amongst the Nation featured prominently in the 1st Exodus. It now serves as a paradigm for our current experience on this Final Lap. We can mirror our current experience in this and learn from the mistakes made in the 1st Exodus.
This week’s Parashat Korach highlights such a major flaw in the Nations reactions. It deals with the rebellion of Korach against Moshe’s leadership. This serves as yet another mirror for us to evaluate and reconsider our own reactions in this regard on our current Final Trek to the ultimate Achievement.
