The start of this week brought a public announcement that reached international media on a broad front: the archaeological find of an ancient Amulet found in Joshua’s Altar, on Mt Eval, Shomron (Samaria), the ancient Biblical Heartland – the first structure that the ancient Israelites built upon entering the Promised Land from their exile in Egypt 3,300 years ago. And just like the Israeli archaeologist Adam Zertal’s discovery of the Altar in the 1980s received almost universal denunciation by academics, this latest discovery from the very ruins of that Altar was also criticized and questioned by academics. This time, however, Zartal stood vindicated as Mount Eval (on which he discovered the Altar) took a positive stand in the spotlight on the Platform of the unveiling of the Original Heartland of Israel. |
Dr. Scott Stripling, the Christian archaeologist who discovered the Amulet in the debris of the original Altar (underneath the structure that Zartal uncovered), emphasized this “World-shaking” find in his claims as being the “oldest form of Hebrew ever discovered” inscribed on this Amulet. Academics heavily disputed this claim, but the true wonder of this find was now totally overlooked: namely, the confirmation of the ancient foundation area of the Land of the Bible, of God’s covenanted Nation, Jewish Israel. |
But, the best is still to come! Now that Mt. Eval (the Mt. of Curses) stands revealed in the Shomron (Samaria) as one of the 2 Main Gate Posts into the Promised Land, the other Gate Post, the Mount of Blessings (Har Brachah), needs still to be identified. However, a cloak of Mystery covers this Mount, the “Mount that God loves” above all, as the common concept that it is Mt. Gerizim (of the Shomronim people) is now challenged, being to the Southside of Eval and beyond audible parameters. Common logic defines that Gerizim is far beyond the “hearing distance” required for the reading of the Blessings and the Curses from the side of each Mountain during the inauguration ceremony of the Altar (Deut. 27:4). Deut. 27:29 confirms it once more and then defines the setting of these two mountains: |
Deut. 27:30, “30 Are they not beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites that dwell in the Arabah, over against Gilgal, beside the terebinths of Moreh (Elonei Moreh)?” The sun sets from East to West – not South to North as Gerizrm is situated.
My Facebook Page carries posts about this Topic – i.e., the Amulet discovery and the Mystery of the Hidden Har Brachah. |
We also intend to create an Observation Group to follow further investigations and developments in the recent gradual unveiling of the Original Heartland of Israel. You may wish to subscribe to this Group – then drop me a note by e-mail at ovadyah777@gmail.com. |
Turn now to his week’s thought-provoking Parashat Tazria Commentary by Dr. Jonathan Sacks – The Circumcision of Desire – revealing the purpose of Circumcision as the Key to our intimate Love Relationship with our Creator. |
How easy it is for man to become proud and arrogant with their achievement of great success. It is not only brutal dictators that thrive on such achieved powers of success but also holy and righteous humans, almost without exception. They all fail abysmally in the aftermath of their achieving great success or power structure. Do we ever consider the greatness of the Creator, God of Israel, Who has all the reason to be proud and overruling for having created all in this magnificent Universe? Yet, He hides Himself from lauding parades and, as this commentary by Rabbi Sacks points out, He loves His failing Bride (His People) nevertheless. |
Notwithstanding His labeling her (Israel) as a Harlot, He oaths to take her BACK after her desertion. |
Indeed we are blind and deaf to His Greatness, as He repeatedly states about His People, ‘His Servant,’ Isaiah chapters 40 – 49. |
May these messages assist in promoting the Unity to advance and proceed the Final Redemption (Geulah} – the Time Period of which it seems that we are now entering towards the end of this 6th Millennium – the Time of Trouble, birth pangs of the Shabbat Millennium with all its Blessings … |
