NOTE:  Kol HaTor, in its commentaries on the weekly Parashot, endeavours to search for and accentuate the Torah Messages contained in the Parashot as applicable to the main Theme of Tanach of the Return of the House of Israel, that is the Lost Ten Tribes of Northern Israel and their Reconciliation with Judah to form the reunited 12-Tribed Kingdom of Israel.

KOL HATOR Commentary

Rabbi Riskin’s commentary “What makes us the fortunate generation?”  In this video he reveals the Golden Guideline for preparing ourselves for the Final Redemption. He recalls Rashi’s commentary on the event in this Parashah when Moses starts praying to God as they reach the barrier of the Sea, with Farao’s troops drawing up from behind. The nation complains and Moses, seemingly concerned about ‘What now?’ starts praying to God for help. This surely is a life generating guideline which is so commonly contorted by our futile attempts that bring rather stagnation – drought, spiritual drought reflecting the absence of HaShem’s Spirit and Presence.

The Revealing Event

ג
Exodus 14
15 And HaShem said unto Moses: ‘Wherefore criest thou unto Me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.

Alternative translations:

“The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you keep calling out to Me for help? Tell the Israelites to move forward.” (American Bible Society)

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Quit praying and get the people moving! Forward, march!” (Living Bible).

You may want to roll back to repeat the empowering core Message – from 6.45 on the video Time line.

Zechariah 14:8 records how, In that Day, Living Waters will flow forth from Jerusalem. HaShem Himself is the Source of these Living Waters causing His Presence to be flowing forth throughout the World. It is for this reason that HaShem is preparing His ‘Servant’ who will be rewarded in the Final Redemption with the full indwelling of HaShem’s Spirit, to become a LIGHT unto the nations. In this way He will be returning His Presence (Shechinah) to live in His People as a Living Tabernacle.
