Commentary by KOL HATOR

– by OvadYah Avrahami

How powerfully this commentary addresses the general reaction of disinterest and rejection, even contempt by Judah to suggestions of receiving 10-Israel back within Judah and the Covenant.

This commentary truly emphasizes great pointers for the Time that we live in, right before the Final Geulah:

NOTE – Though the Rabbi applies the Message and the need for unity to all 12 Tribes earlier in the video, yet, like all Rabbis today, he concludes by applying this plea for unity amongst Jews only.

1.30 (on the time line) – it is a Message for the End of Days.

2.15 – The Secret of Redemption is the bringing together of the exiles thru the Ingathering in the Last Days (Midrash).

2.55 – Without uniting, there is no Redemption in the End Time.

The Midrash about this Parashah teaches us to distance ourselves from disputation and fighting amongst the Tribes.

3.55 – One of the lessons taught in this Parashah is to join together, for there is legitimacy in all the Tribes, all being part of the Family of Israel.

4.30 – Midrash:  There is power in unity which has to occur EVEN across disputes and differences.  ”… distance yourselves from disputation and fighting amongst the Tribes”.

Hoshea 4:17

יז  חֲבוּר עֲצַבִּים אֶפְרָיִם, הַנַּח-לוֹ. 17 Ephraim is joined to idols; let him alone.

The true context of this statement according to Rabbinic interpretation  is not to walk away from or reject Ephraim for that reason of idol worship, but to “let Ephraim be” with his erroneous concepts, to be corrected. Accept him nevertheless and work at correcting him. Refer next:

5.33  The Rabbis say (in Midrash): If Israel will only unite, EVEN if there is Avodah Zerah (idol worship) … הַנַּח-לוֹ (Hanach lo) … let him be!

8.38 – Note his surprise and frustration at the reception by his audience of this plea for unity within Judaism.  Imagine the reception to Jews (Judah) if the need for unity amongst ALL Tribes is stressed – with 10-Israel out there being regarded as in paganism and not fit for reconciling with.

ב
THIS is the Message underlying the Yoseph Metaphor, the Blessing of the 12 Patriarchs by Yaakov. Unfortunately far beyond the reach, realization and acceptance by Judah still.

This is the Message that Yoseph today (the modern embodiment of Yoseph by those souls who carry his Reconciliation zeal for the Family on their hearts and in their every action and endeavors) need to UNITE in support to.

act to unite as one body to welcome the coming Mashiach!
