Shalom [subscriber:firstname | default:dear friend],

This week’s Parashah puts the spotlight on the topic and the purpose of the 50-day Counting of the Omer which we have been observing since Pesach, viz. personal introspection and pursuing of Holiness (Kedushah). The Haftarah reading from Amos 9 declares HaShem’s utter condemnation of His Nation for their disregarding of His requirements for Holiness: Amos 9:4, “… I will I command the sword, and it shall slay them; and I will set Mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good … v8, “Behold, the eyes of HaShem are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith HaShem.” This condemnation is also recorded by Daniel:

Daniel 9
v.12, “And He hath confirmed His word, which He spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; so that under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.”

But, then followed, as always in Scripture, by the Divine Promise of Return and Restoration: v. 11, “I will raise up the Tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old …”

While expressing HaShem's condemnations in the strongest terms found in Scripture, this Parashah also offers the Keys to receiving the mind-blowing Award that He offers us. The implications are so vast that we have not fully evaluated it yet - and will probably be beyond the acceptance for most believers who will regard it as sacrilegious desires and vain imaginations. It is important, therefore, to consider this Parashah’s Message in the context of the refreshing findings of our recent series of Newsletter and Parashiyot commentaries: Don't forget that we are living in Times of Refreshment and escalation of hither-to hidden knowledge which the Prophet Daniel was told would only be revealed at the End Time (Daniel 12:4).
  • … that HaShem is coming to rule as King in His Universal Kingdom over the Nations, through His righteous people (Kedushim – topic of our Parashah) who will serve as a ‘Living Tabernacle’ which He will inaugurate on the “Eighth Day” (Shemini – the 8th Millennium).
  • We have established the importance and the exalted Blessing for those who are found righteous in the Final Judgment (Yom Kippur) of being fully imbued with His Spirit, under a renewed Covenant, becoming ‘Living Torahs’ themselves, fully perfected in the “Image of HaShem”, thus ruling with HaShem, as HaShem, over the Nations.
We see this all confirmed also in Zechariah ch. 14, after the Final War of Wars, Gog Magog:

We also find confirmation of this Glorious Event in Daniel chapter 7 – a chapter which had been greatly misinterpreted because of misconceptions about the true Identity of what has been termed (without the word being used as such in all of Scripture) “The Mashiach”: Daniel was greatly disturbed by this Vision and received the following explicit clarification to his earnest inquiry about WHO this “Ruling King” shall be:

WHO is this Eternal Ruler?:

Let the Scriptures confirm it for us in the latter part of this chapter 7 of Daniel:

Now, listen to this Rabbinic Commentary for guidelines on how to achieve this exalted Calling to Holiness (Kedushim)

May this inspire us to become the Kidushim (Holy ones, righteous ones)
to receive the Eternal Gift of ruling with the God of Israel, as His Living Tabernacle – to possess the Kingdom forever, even forever and ever.

What an exalted Great Calling!
Wishing you HaShem’s richest Blessings!
