We are one week away from Rosh HaShanah, the first festival of the 3 weeks Festive Period of Succot which winds up the Torah Reading Cycle for the year. This Festive period serves as a preview or metaphor for the culminating Events of the Final Redemption (‘Geulah’) – also referred to as the ‘Coming of Messiah’, ‘The Return of the Shechinah Presence of God’, ‘The Establishment of the Universal Kingdom of God’.

As such, we can therefore expect this 5th-last Torah Reading of the year to focus on The Final Redemption and hopefully provide us with an enlightening perspective of the Times that we are living in and heading for – the zenith of the Ages.

This week’s Parashah features the Entry of Israel into the Land where they would become re-covenanted as the Nation of God (Deut. 27:9) . “Ki Tavo” – ‘When you come into the Land’ – the conditions, Blessings and Curses for observance or non-conformance of the Life sustaining Rules of the God of Israel. These conditions were pronounced at the inauguration of the first structure that they were required to erect at their arrival - as featured in Parashat Ki Tavo, the Altar of Joshua on Mt Ebal (Deut. Ch 27, 28) .

We feature, this week, an audio commentary on Ki Tavo (‘'When you enter the Land ....'.'}
by Zvi Koenigsburg (personal Web Site link) who was part of the team which discovered Joshua’s Altar on Mt Ebal in 1981. He is a leading commentator involved in ongoing revelationary discoveries at this historic Site and he promises much more to come from this remarkable Site which for some strange and incalculable reasons has escaped the notice of most theologians and academics.

This may all link up well with our own convictions at Kol Hator that this historic area has been hidden by God for the End Time revealing of His Glory and the fulfillment of the Restoration of the Re-united 12-Tribed Kingdom of Israel, returned from exile and groomed to rule from His Universal Kingdom of Peace, to be established at the Final Redemption (Geulah). Can it be that God has reserved this hidden Sacred Area (where Yoseph also lies buried) to serve as the Domain for the Seat of His Universal Empire Rule?

The Prophetic Haftarah Message for Ki Tavo

The Haftarah section for Ki Tavo comes from Isaiah ch. 60 and features the Final Redemption, the Final Future Entering of the Land as per the Parashah for this week. This Haftarah is one of the 7 Condolences to encourage the Nation after the negative outfall of Tisha B’Av, to bring them to the Ultimate Final Future Entrance of the Kingdom as depicted by the Festive Period of Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur, and Succot at the conclusion of the 7 weeks of Condolences.

This Festive Season points to the Time when the exiled People of the Land will return and receive ‘eternal Excellency’ (v. 1-3,15). Although this chapter is hailed to apply to the Mashiach, there is NO ref. to a ‘Mashiach’ in this entire chapter. HaShem is the spokesman right through and every Action of Redemption in this chapter is claimed by HaShem to be done by Himself – to the acknowledgment of His People and the Nations (v5,16).

Verse 13 emphasizes His Personal Presence (as the Returned Shechinah?) and refers to “the place of My feet” [ מְקוֹם רַגְלַי ] which will be made glorious by the honors paid by His People and the Nations bringing their wealth and Gifts of Glory (v6,7,9,11).

We are now standing before this awesome Culmination of the Ages when HaShem will be glorified and proven true to His Promises.

May these messages assist in promoting the Unity to advance and proceed to the Final Redemption (Geulah} – the Time Period of which it seems that we are now entering towards the end of this 6th Millennium – the Time of Trouble, birth pangs of the Shabbat Millennium with all its Blessings …

NOTE - For a more encompassing understanding of the Messages of this Parashah you should read the other commentaries on Ki Tavo which have been specially selected in previous years and archived here Parashat Ki Tavo Archive.

May these studies inspire us to become the Kidushim (Holy ones, righteous ones) to receive the Eternal Gift of ruling with the God of Israel, as His Living Tabernacle – to possess the Kingdom forever, even forever and ever (Daniel 7:27).

Wishing you HaShem’s richest Blessings!
