Do we want to be: A Chosen Royal Bride or an Unacceptable Concubine to HaShem?

This bizarre question was ignited by recent Facebook Forum discussions in which the Jewish fraternity seemed to adhere to the concept that God is so exalted that He is totally beyond defining.

This brought to the fore the concept from Scripture that HaShem regards His faithful followers as His Bride – thus, a Royal Bride!
- which raised severe considerations of whether a Bride could truly qualify without well-informed knowledge of the Identity of her Groom.

Indeed, leading Jewish Sages have proclaimed as the foundational Jewish Faith Principle that HaShem, the Divine Groom, is an “incorporeal” Being and much impersonal, beyond the abilities of man to define Him. The following article presents a review of Jewish concepts in this regard – you may be shocked to read this: https://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/On-conceiving-God-606478

Next up, was the question: Do we want to be HaShem’s dedicated Bride – or do we resign ourselves to the status of a concubine for Him? - which becomes the alternative – a status He does not commit Himself to consider or to approve. In this respect, it is essential to realize the meaning and historical implications of a concubine, which you most probably have never fully realized before – refer to the following two sources:

Then came the real crunch!
The underlying core inspirational impetus behind the Creator’s Divine Plan for humanity, i.e., the Final Redemption (Geulah), is reflected by two main pillars of the entire Divine Message to man via Moses, His covenanted nation, and the Hebrew Scriptures, the Tanach, i.e.

Dare to consider the character and nobility of the One Who in all humility proclaims this astounding Act of Pure Love towards His Creation! – i.e., to plead and receive back His Bride who failed Him repeatedly.

Then, decide - Do we want to be HaShem’s dedicated Bride – or resign yourself to the status of a concubine for Him? – a status of which He disapproves.

How can we “Know God” if we cannot clearly and convincingly define what He is all about, Who He is, His characteristics, and His Will?

How can we be His Bride if we don’t know Him?

Jeremiah 4:22 –“My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding.”

Now READ Isa. 43:8-13. We are supposed to be His Witnesses amongst the nations, to testify of His Glory, Might and Works. How can we proclaim Him to them if we don’t know Him intimately? Of course, we can never define Him fully or perfectly. As His Witnesses and His Bride though, our striving throughout life should be to know and define Him properly.

Do you want to be His Bride – or just a Concubine?

For this week’s Parashat Commentary, go to our Parashat Archive. In a similar vein, in this week’s Parashat Balak, this grace-filled Love of the Creator for His stray Bride protrudes when He humbly asks:

Micah 6:3, “O My people, what have I done unto thee? And wherein have I wearied thee? Testify against Me.”

May these messages assist in promoting the Unity to advance and proceed to the Final Redemption (Geulah} – the Time Period of which it seems that we are now entering towards the end of this 6th Millennium – the Time of Trouble, birth pangs of the Shabbat Millennium with all its Blessings …
Wishing you HaShem’s richest Blessings!
