Shalom [subscriber:firstname | default:dear friend],

Jews are currently in the 3 week period (17 Tammuz – 9th Av) of mourning for the Temple which was destroyed in 70 CE while we are looking forward with expectation for the building of the 3rd Temple which represents Messianic Times.

This topic – an ‘End Time’ event which will introduce a New Dispensation of the establishment of the Universal Kingdom of God – raises an entire bewildering selection of Events to which souls have been looking forward to with great expectations throughout the centuries since Creation. Recent enlightening awarenesses have put the spotlight on several popular long-standing Biblical concepts about the Last Days (before the establishment of His Universal Kingdom). These new considerations of age old concepts have been brought about by the virtual evidence that we have around us today of the fulfilment of ancient Bible Prophecies concerning the End Time. This renewed interpretation of the ancient Scriptures, in the light of these new somewhat unbelievable developments came with the surprising realization that the words by which some popular long standing End Time concepts are named, DO NOT EVEN APPEAR in Scripture wheresoever!

Yes! Amazing, staggering – BUT TRUE!

You thought those End Time Events to be Great? – Now even GREATER!

Strangely, these unscriptural and seemingly misinterpreted ‘hot’ topics all surround this End Time features what Bible-based believers through the ages have been looking forward to with great expectations. Be assured though, that these traditionally expected events are not deleted or diminished by these new awarenesses of alternative fulfilments, but it rather emphasizes far greater exalting features, blessings, and qualities under what seems to be totally alternative fulfilments of these ancient exalted topics.

The topics that are being challenged as to their traditional interpretations include:
- the 3rd Temple in Jerusalem,
- the nature and identity of the Mashiach,
- the Return of the Shechinah (Presence) of HaShem,
- being “a Light unto the Nations”.

The Building of the 3rd Temple

As we entered the 3 weeks of mourning a few days ago with the Fast of 17th Tammuz the following enlightening comment was made by Rabbi Chaim Clorfene, author of ‘The Messianic Temple – understanding the Prophecy of Ezekiel”:

He wrote:
“It is difficult to understand why we would mourn the destruction of a past Temple in which the Shechina did not dwell and utterly ignore the future Temple in which the Shechinah will dwell. This is especially so since the past Temple was destroyed nearly 2000 years ago and the future Temple could be built today. If only we would follow the Torah and forget about the Second Temple, Herod's Temple, the Temple which the Ramban called the Temple of Satan. Nothing we can do to remember the Second Temple, no amount of fasts, would equal the tshuvah (repentance) we would do by learning the design of the Third Temple, the Messianic Temple.”

Note: the emphasis on the Shechinah of HaShem, which was NOT present in the 2nd Temple after HaShem withdrew His Presence at the destruction of the 1st Temple (586 BCE)(Ezek. 10) – though, with the Divine Promise of Return: When? How? THIS is what the 3rd Temple is all about: to serve as “A Light unto the Gentile Nations”. But who and what is this Light unto the Nations according to our Prophets in the Written Word of God?
